Design Details
As a creative studio we care about the small things because we understand the final result is simply the sum of all the decisions we made along the way. Keep reading to learn about some of our favorite design details within the Light and Life Collection.
Steps to Christ, Special Editions
Steps to Christ is arguably the most shared book by Ellen White—and for good reason, it’s amazing. We also love to give this wonderful book to friends and family, but we’re sometimes hesitant to do so because of the dated design and low production quality found within most editions. We wanted to fix that.
Editorial Updates
The Light and Life Collection reads in an almost identical way to the original editions and is not a contemporary paraphrase in any sense. The overall editorial intent was to preserve the integrity of the author’s original ideas at all levels, from the chapter level down to the individual words.

The Content
As we’ve already said, the books that make up the Light and Life Collection are three of our most favorite books about Jesus and his Teaching. Keep reading to learn a bit more about each one.
Ellen White
Ellen White was a renowned speaker, reformer, and spiritual leader who dedicated her life to spreading the message of God’s love for humanity. Her thousands of letters, magazine articles and dozens of books make her the most translated non-fiction author in history and led Smithsonian magazine to declare her one of the “100 most significant Americans of all time.”
These writings, stemming from her love for Jesus and compassion for people, continue to inspire readers around the world and are part of her enduring legacy as a minister of the Gospel.
