The Hopeful Edition

While most of The Hopeful Edition is identical to our standard sharing edition of Steps to Christ, there are a few key differences.

The book opens with an introduction to the film written by Kyle Portbury, the Emmy® Award-winning director. The cover uses blue foil (a reference to the ocean seen throughout the film), it’s Swiss Bound, and an iconic image of the steamship from the film is printed on the inside front cover.

The Hopeful Film

The Hopeful, a film created by Hope Studios, tells the true story of a community whose lives were transformed as they learn what it means to truly wait for Jesus. This sweeping drama, set in 19th century New England, invites audiences of all ages to imagine how hope can change the world.

Editorial Updates

This NKJV edition of Steps to Christ reads in an almost identical way to the original edition and is not a contemporary paraphrase in any sense. The overall editorial intent was to preserve the integrity of the author’s original ideas at all levels, from the chapter level down to the individual words.
